Leading Edge’s linerless labels are a product with cost economies and waste reduction in mind: with the same appearance as a normal label, where they differ is in their construction. 

Linerless are produced by Leading Edge in such a
way that the carrier web (i.e. backing sheet) is removed and adhesive is applied at the printing stage - this can remove up to 30% of the cost of a standard
self adhesive label. 

The benefits of this are great: less waste (i.e. backing) means landfill reduction, no gaps between labels also means less materials: 55% more labels per reel = less carriage costs and storage space required; less number of reel changes required during application plus, less production waste and also higher productivity.

These benefits are all complimented by lower manufacturing costs.
